Safeway and Albertsons workers prepare to strike after rejecting management offer

About 7,000 members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 working at Safeway and Albertsons grocery stores across Colorado could go on strike as soon as Sunday to protest understaffing, a lack of pay increases over the past 18 months, and a reversal of pledges to provide retroactive pay and benefit increases.
